Farmland

2017-ongoing

This series was born out of a conversation with a friend about pineapple. Living their whole life in an urban area and having only seen pineapple from a can, they were much surprised at how it looked like whole and uncut. This prompted a long conversation of how we are unaware of how most of the food we consume looks like whole, and more so what the origin plants appearance might be.

These photos are intended to enlighten and showcase the beauty of the ever shrinking farm industry.

All photos are taken with a Holga using 120mm Kodak Ektar film, then scanned and printed on Hahnemuhle Museum etching substrate.
