This body of work is about endometriosis, a complicated condition that affects the female reproductive system. I was diagnosed with endometriosis in 2020 following a surgery to remove a grapefruit sized tumor from my ovary. Currently, a plum sized one has grown again on the same ovary. Endometriosis and its complications of pain, tumors, and fertility issues are not well discussed or researched. Fruit Tumors was made as a way of coping, but also to further the conversation of this condition.
